Client LTC Presentation & Resources

Client LTC presentation

IIC has created a client presentation to help educate your clients about the need to have a long-term care plan.  This live presentation lasts 40 minutes, with a 20-minute Q & A session afterwards.
We will help your clients answer the following questions:

  • What are the odds you will need care during the rest of your life?
  • Who will care for you? Should you rely on the government or your family?
  • How much will it cost and how will you pay?
  • What insurance options are available to transfer the risk?
  • Should you remain self-insured?

If you are interested in learning more or would like to preview the presentation, please email [email protected]

Client Resource- Caregiver Guide

Rosalynn Carter said it first and best: “There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.”

Step-by-Step Guide to Receiving Care

Product Spotlight – Leverage for Care or Legacy

Not everyone is a good candidate for long-term care insurance.  Low income and low net worth clients don’t have enough to pay or perhaps protect.  High net worth clients may value long-term care protection, but it could be argued they don’t need it.  Those in the middle have the largest risk.  They may be able to self-insure, but they still have a significant risk if care is needed for a long time or if both need care.  There is a new product in the marketplace for couples in the middle.

This policy is designed to leverage assets and provides tax-free benefits for care.  If care is not needed, it leaves more to heirs and the money doesn’t go out the window. It will pay out if both clients need care or for the surviving spouse needing care. Clients in the middle may prefer having this added to their plan versus self-insuring both lives. It provides attractive long-term rates of return and can add safety and flexibility to a retirement plan.
