Life Insurance Planning for High-Net Worth Clients

New Industry Updates

  • Principal Financial has pulled out of the individual life insurance marketplace 9-30-21
  • Most of the carriers offering true LTC products including traditional, hybrids and life with rider are back logged due to the Washington State LTC program. Expect much longer than usual delays until they catch up.
  • COVID has changed life insurance application and policy delivery processes forever.  Some carriers have become fully digital for application submission, Part B interviews and policy delivery. 

Accelerated underwriting programs will continue.  For healthy clients between 18 and 60 you may be able to get up to $3,000,000 of coverage without the usual exams and labs.
